Coffee & Walking?
As I walk the side walks of the suburban neighborhoods that I work in I have begun to digest everything that is going on around me. However, the most interesting site right now is the masses of new mothers walking around.
I understand they want to go out and enjoy the day and I applaued that goal. They walk around in their expensive athletic gear as if they are going to do a hardcore workout. That fact is fine with me. They push these ginormous strollers in all shapes and sizes down the sidewalk.
Note: Do not try to play chicken against a mother with a stroller, simply accept that you’re going to walk in the wet grass or mud because aero-dynamic wheeled devices are more concrete worthy.
The part that I can’t wrap my mind around is why they are all carrying coffee cups. I what point in health class did they say that exercise is most effective while drinking a double shot expresso with soy milk? Isn’t that completely counter-acting the goal of walking? When I figure this out I will let you know because as of now I have no clue. Perhaps it’s part of being “desperate housewives.” Maybe the strollers packaging simply has a label reading:
“Device must be used under the influence of caffeine.”
